Update from our Treasurer

Hi everyone

As we have just passed our 8th Sunday with our lovely church closed, I thought I would bring you an update on our finances.

We currently have £3,300 coming into our account on a monthly basis via regular standing orders, but unfortunately our outgoings are approx £6000.

Our utility bills will remain the same apart from possibly a slight decrease in heating and lighting.

However, the difference in our income now we have no services and in particular cannot open our cafe is proving quite devastating. We have really appreciated the envelopes/collection left at the vicarage. These are difficult circumstances for us all.

For the past few weeks we have relied on some wonderfully generous donations, but of course the worrying part is how long this situation will continue.

We do appreciate this is the same for every single member of our much-loved congregation.

Also, I have registered us on easyfundraising.org.uk. This is a website that you use for online shopping. As long as you click on this website first, every purchase generates a small percentage for the church. It costs nothing to join and you can search for us under ‘Christ’s Church Harwood’. This also applies to Amazon purchases but there is one extra process to initially register. The name to search for in this case is ‘The Parochial Church Council Of The Ecclesiastical Parish Of Harwood’.

Once you are registered the process is very simple. There is also a facility to make a donation directly to the church.
